What are the charges for using PostOrGet?

Absolutely FREE! From Registering an Account to Posting Your Ad, you will not incur any single dollar. It is a totally FREE service.

While basic Ad posting is a free service, we charge fees if a user selects a premium feature like "Special", "First", "Bold", "Border" or "Background" to highlight / distinguish their Ad from others.

You can also place advertising throughout the website, which will be visible in all pages and whenever you are in the website.

Do I need to register in order to just browse/view ads and contact sellers?

No. You are not required to register. Simply choose a category from the PostOrGet homepage to begin browsing Ads or enter a keyword to search for.

 

Do I need to register in order to post an item?

Yes, to sell an item, you need to enter your username. You get a username when you Register.

 

How do I Register on PostOrGet?

Go to PostOrGet homepage. Click on "Register" or on "+ POST ADVERT" link in the top horizontal menu bar. Enter registration details and click on submit. You will get an email which will have instructions to confirm your registration. Follow the instructions in the email & confirm your registration. You are ready to Post Ads now!

 

What can I do if I don't receive an email to confirm my registration?

We will send you an email at the email address that you entered during the registration process. If you don't see this email in the Inbox folder, then check the Bulk/Junk Folder of your email. If you don't see it there also, then most likely you entered an incorrect email address in the registration form.

Please Register again with the correct email address.

 

Why do I need a password?

You are required to provide a password for your account to keep your information secure. Without a password anyone would be able to access your personal details and even changes them, a password ensures that your personal information remains hidden from other site users.

 

Why do I need an e-mail address?

You need to provide an e-mail address because all PostOrGet communication with you will be done through e-mail. PostOrGet will notify you when someone asks a question about an item you posted; it will notify you about any major change or upgrade done on the system and any other matter that might be of interest to you as PostOrGet member. Your e-mail will remain confidential and will not be use but for the purposes you agreed.

 

How do I change my details?

To change your details you need to be logged in. When you are logged in you can simply click on "PROFILE" link in the upper menu of the screen, or on the "Quick Links" menu on the right bottom, there you will be able to change your details and even your password.

 

I can’t login

You may have forgotten your password or did not confirm your registration.

If you have forgotten your password you can retrieve it by clicking on "I Forgot My Password" link in the log in page.

If you have forgotten your username you can retrieve it by clicking on "I Forgot My Username" link in the log in page.

 

I can’t complete my registration

When you are filling your registration details, you need to fill all the required fields (marked by an asterisk). If fail to do so, you can’t complete the registration. You also need to provide a valid e-mail address.

My Items

How do I Post an Ad on PostOrGet?

Go to PostOrGet homepage. Login to your account by clicking on "Login". Once you are logged in, click on "+ POST ADVERT" link located in the top horizontal user menu or in the "Quick Links" menu located on the right bottom of the page.

Posting your Ad consists of 3 steps:

Step 1:

• Select the category that your item falls in.

• Select the Ad length i.e. the number of days your ad will remain active on the Site. Choices are 30, 90, 180 & 360 days.

• After that, enter Item details such as Title, Price, and Description etc. Click on Continue. Remember that the first thing visitors will see is your item title. Specific keywords in the title are what will appear in PostOrGet search results when people are looking for a specific item. It is also what appear in the search engines, so make sure to put the most accurate information about your item in the item’s title. Setting a fair price is also very important as interested visitors will check for the price before calling you, and an overpriced item will not be appealing to the potential buyers.

 

Step 2:

• Add a picture of your item for prospective buyers to see. You can upload as many as 5 pictures of your item.

• The format of your pictures has to be JPG/JPEG and the maximum size allowed is 3MB.

 

Step 3:

• Review your Ad the way it will be displayed on the Site. Once satisfied, click on the "SAVE" button. After that your Ad will become live on the Site and thousands of other users will be able to see it.

You will get a confirmation in the email with the link to your ad posting.

 

How long does it take for my Ad to appear on the Site?

The Ad will be posted to the Site as soon as you click on "SAVE".

 

How do I know if someone is interested in my Ad?

You can include contact information such as your email address or phone number for the potential buyer to contact you while posting your Ad. However, this is not mandatory. PostOrGet includes a link to contact the seller in each and every ad listing which allows users to send you an email which you used while registering. So they do not need to know your email address or phone number to contact you. After you receive the email message, you can choose to respond and give additional information like phone number or not to respond at all.

 

Can I edit or delete my Ad after posting?

Absolutely, you can login and go into "MY ADS" section to Edit or Remove Your Ad.

 

How do I add a picture to a previously posted item?

If your item is already listed, and you want to add a picture or modify an existing one, click on my Items, then click on the edit button. The system will take you to a page where you will be able to modify all the information related to your item including the pictures.

 

How long does my Ad remain posted on the Site?

It remains posted on the Site for the duration you have selected while posting your Ad. The posting durations are 30, 90, 180 & 360 days after which they will expire.

 

Can I view my expired Ads?

Yes, you can login and go into "MY ADS" section to View Your Ad.

 

Can I repost/renew my Ad?

Sure. You can login and go into "MY ADS" section to Renew Your Ad.

 

How can I contact a seller for an Ad I am interested in?

If the seller has provided contact information in the ad posting such as a phone number or email address, you can use that to contact him. If not, you can click on "CONTACT THIS ADVERTISER" link and fill out the information. An email will be sent to the seller informing him about your interest in the Ad.

 

What type of Ads can I post?

What can I do if I find any Ad on the site inappropriate (spam / offensive / adult / miscategorized)?

We will review the ad and delete it from the site; Or you can just click on "REPORT ABUSE" link, fill in some note and click on "SEND". You can refer to the Prohibited and Restricted Items List

 

Can I mark a preferred Ad for future returning?

Yes if you like an Ad and you want to get back to it in another time, you can click on "Add to Favorites" and the item will be saved under your favorite list.

 

How can I check my Favorite List?

Go to PostOrGet homepage. Login to your account by clicking on "Login". Once you are logged in, click on "FAVORITES" link in the "Quick Links" menu located on the right bottom of the page.

Promote your Ad

What is the "Special" List?

In some cases, you might want to give extra exposure to your item by advertising it on PostOrGet Special list. The items that are selected to appear on the Special list will appear on the home page randomly and on the main page of the chosen category.

The special items will be used at the management discretion for advertising on other websites and for e-mail advertising. You might find your item on facebook.com, in an e-mail shot or other…

 

What is Promotion "First"?

In some cases, you might want to give extra exposure to your item by promoting it to be displayed in front of the other Ads. Your Ad will be displayed in top of the Ad list.

 

What is Promotion "Background", "Bold" or "Border"?

In some cases, you might want to distinguish your ad from others either by coloring its background or making the font Bold or simply by coloring the border of the table cell.

 

Can I use all the promotions together?

Of course you can use all the promotions together. By doing so, you are giving your Ad the ultimate exposure.
